I am a typical South Floridian – old – single – retired and from somewhere else.
I was born in Rochester, New York in December, 1938 – which makes me fairly close to ancient. However, I believe age is just a number. I calculate my true age as the average of my chronological age, my physical age and my mental age. As long as I remain a mental 13 year old I consider myself much younger than the calendar suggests. Also, physically, I’ve never experienced an old-folk ache or pain. I can still run and jump, and I actually feel better today than 20 years ago.
I graduated from the University of Rochester in 1960 and spent a long career with the United States Customs Service as an accountant, auditor, Financial Manager and Regional Audit Director. I was sort of a gypsy, chasing promotions. I worked in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY (twice), Baltimore, MD. (twice), Washington, DC, Indianapolis, IN, and Miami, FL (3 times) – finally retiring in Miami. I now live in Broward County, near Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale.
Nowadays I live a simple and boring life. I am a voracious reader, web surfer and an avid amateur photographer.
